FedEx Delivers Holiday Joy to Fort Rucker Troops

Military families at Fort Rucker will receive a special holiday delivery from FedEx this week. As part of the Trees for Troops program, FedEx Freight will deliver 140 real Christmas trees to help service members and their families celebrate the holidays. The Trees for Troops delivery will take place Saturday, December 1 at 9 a.m. located at the Arts & Crafts Center.

This year marks the 14th anniversary of the program, which brings together FedEx, the Christmas SPIRIT Foundation and tree farmers across America to deliver trees to service members stationed across the U.S. and overseas. During the busy weeks leading up to Christmas, FedEx will deliver more than 17,000 farm grown trees to nearly 65 military bases. Since the Trees for Troops program launched in 2005, FedEx has shipped more than 200,000 real Christmas trees to service members and their families—covering every branch of the military. FedEx is involved with the Trees for Troops program as part of FedEx Cares.
