Ugly Sweater 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run

On Saturday, December 9, the Fort Rucker Physical Fitness Center will host the annual Ugly Sweater 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run. Race Day registration will take place from 7:30–8:45 am, with the 5K starting at 9 am or after the last 5K runner is finished.
The Fun Run will begin approximately at 9:45 am after the 5K run. Free and open to all children (ages 12 & under). Each Fun Run participant will receive a medal from Santa at the finish line!
Trophies will be awarded to Overall Male/Female, and Grandmaster Male/Female winners. Ornaments will be awarded to 1st Place, 2nd and 3rd place in 9 age categories. Ornaments will be awarded to the Fastest Team and team streamers awarded to the top 3 finishing teams. Refreshments will be provided to the runners. Event is open to the public.
Ugly Sweater Contest:
Don’t forget to wear your ugliest Christmas sweater for our Ugly Sweater Contest that will begin at 8:30 am for the Adult and Child Ugliest and Most Original Sweater.
After the race join us for complimentary hot chocolate bar.
Cost
Individual:
- The cost for the 5K is $20 per individual with a mug through December 3*
- $25 with a mug while supplies last from December 3 to race day*
- There is also a $15 no mug option
Teams:
- Teams are $120 for 8 participants (each additional teammate pays the normal registration fee) through December 3 with mugs*
- $160 with mugs while supplies last from December 3 to race day*
