This Year Freedom Fest will be open to the public. All you have to do is show a Valid Star ID, Driver's License, or ID at the Gate. Passes are not required between 4pm and 9pm on Wednesday July 3rd!
All visitors requesting entry outside of 4-9 p.m. will be required to have a Visitor Pass.
For Patrons who would like to attend the event and who will be showing up before 4pm on Wednesday, July 3rd, you will need a visitors pass BEFORE July 3rd for access. Please Click Here for information on gate access, hours of operations, procedures and frequently asked questions.

- No tote bags or backpacks are permitted, except for medical and baby care items
- No pets (minus credentialed service animals)
- No fireworks
- No glass containers
- No weapons to include guns, knives, pepper spray and electric stun devices
- No bicycles, scooters, hoverboards, rollerblades, skateboards or unicycles
- Safety and Lost Child

In the event of a lost child, or the occasional lost parent, the lost child tent is located directly across the field from the entertainment stage. As well as, the first aid station, medical tent, and the lost and found.
There are also site maps throughout the festival grounds that can direct you to various locations.
It is going to be really HOT outside, so let's all stay hydrated, wear sunscreen, and look out after each other!
FREEDOM FEST 2024
Fort Novosel Family & MWR is thrilled to announce Freedom Fest 2024 hosted by Major General Michael C. McCurry.
Wednesday, July 3rd from 4-9 p.m. at the Festival Fields on Fort Novosel
Freedom Fest kicks off at 4:00 p.m. at the Festival Fields. There will be family fun activities for kids such as bounce houses, and obstacle courses, free ice cream, military static displays, and tons of craft vendors. Food vendors and food trucks will be on-site to provide various festival and traditional food items as well as refreshment options that are sure to please. Live entertainment will continue throughout the day and the celebration will conclude with one of the best fireworks displays in the Wiregrass, beginning promptly at 9:00 p.m.
