SKIES Unlimited

Extracurricular Instructional Classes
18 months - 18 years 

SKIES Unlimited Instructional Program includes Gymnastics, Swimming Lessons, and Music-Piano, Guitar, Voice. Gymnastic Classes are conducted at School Age Center Building #2806; Music Classes are conducted at Teen Building #2800 and swim Lessons are conducted at the Main Fitness Center on Andrews Ave. Building #4605.

 SKIES Unlimited stands for “School of Knowledge, Inspiration, Exploration and Skills” with the word “Unlimited” for the unlimited possibilities that this program provides children and youth: 

  • All participants must be registered with CYS Services
  • On-going enrollment for Gymnastics and Music.
  • Must re-enroll for swim class
  • Currently enrolled SKIES students will be automatically re-enrolled into the next session for most classes to retain their space.  Payment for the session must be made before the 1st day of class.
  • Classes will be filled on a first paid basis.

Children and Youth that are currently registered in CYS Services may be able to enroll for some of the SKIES classes using WebTrac.

SKIES Policy

Enrolling  
You may enroll in SKIES at any time; however, if you enroll after the first week of the month, the child will begin class the next month.

Auto Billing  
will be implemented on the 1st of the month for Gymnastic and Music. Except during June and July.

Enrollment will stay the same for June & July for these 2 activities. School term programs do have Auto Billing– once enrolled you stay enrolled– for the school term.

Payment
Payment may be received at front desk at Parent Central Bldg, or Child Development Center, Youth Center, School Age Center, or on webtrac. 

Fees
Fees are the same each month. SKIES classes are based on 4 classes each month. Some months may have 5 weeks. We can not grant refunds because a child does not come. If staff is on duty, they must get paid. We do adjust fees for the December Holidays, Spring Break and anytime instructor is out and we do not have a makeup day. Price varies for classes. Please Check webtrac for the fee.

Attendance 
Please swipe in/out at front desk. We must keep proper count. Staff will check child in/out of class.  Please be prompt to pick child up after class is over. We cannot let children leave unattended. They must be with an adult. Siblings cannot be left unattended while waiting for child that is enrolled in the class. We cannot swap class time/day; we are under CYS child/staff ration guidelines.

Withdrawing
You must send in a form or call the office before the 25th of the month. If fee rolls in for the month and the office has not received form /call, then fee must be paid before withdrawal.  We do have children on a waiting list and this helps give other children an opportunity. There is no priority enrollment. If you choose to keep child’s space while on vacation, fee must be paid.         

Important Info
Parents may remain in the class room 2/3 times to help children adjust to new environment, staff, and friends. However, after that, we request Parents to wait in the waiting areas. We want children to become independent and gain self confidence. Parent Tot or Parent Pre-school class are for child enrolled. 1  Parent = 1 Child—Siblings cannot be left unattended in a room, waiting area, or on deck at pool. Children under the age of 11 years of age must have an adult with them at all times. Please do not block doors, hallways, pool deck with chairs, strollers, or people. We must comply with Fire Codes.

Food &Drinks
Only water can be brought in– please be respectful of others and allergy concerns.   

Photos
Some parents/staff may prefer not to have their child photographed. Please let us know and we can arrange a time for you after classes are over.

Note: Classes are subject to change. We need 3 or more students to conduct a class. We follow the Fort Novosel School System Calendar. Your class time/date and location are on your receipt.
