Mobilization and Deployment
The Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (DFMWR) Deployed Military/Civilian Spouse or Guardian's Blue Star Card Program is a DFMWR discount and activity card for Spouses or Guardians of children of Soldiers who are deployed or on an unaccompanied tour of duty. Spouses of Soldiers who are deployed qualify for the Blue Star Card program.

Never Forgotten Card
The Fort Novosel Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (FMWR) offers a discount and activity card for Family members (spouse, child, parent or 18 years or younger sibling) of Fallen Service Members. The Never Forgotten Card is provided in recognition of the sacrifices of Survivors and demonstrates our commitment to provide quality programs and services to help enhance quality of life. The Never Forgotten Card Program includes everyday benefits, providing an extra discount at both on post and off post facilities.
What is the Never Forgotten Card?
A discount and activity card intended to enhance the well-being of the Families of Fallen Service Members and recognize the sacrifices they have made.
Who is eligible for the card?
Spouses, children, parents and siblings (18 years or younger) of Fallen Service Members.
How do I get a Never Forgotten Card?
Complete an application through the Survivor Outreach Services (SOS) Program located in the Soldier Service Center, Bldg. 5700, Rm. 373. The card will be valid for two years from date of application.
Where can I use my card?
Never Forgotten Cards are accepted at DFMWR facilities, The EXCHANGE, special events at Fort Novosel, AL and participating local businesses. Some Fort Novosel facilities require a valid military ID to utilize their services and receive the discount. Please contact Survivor Outreach Services for more information at +1 (334)255-9637.

New Parent Support Program
School Support Services provides Army school-aged youth with educational opportunities, resources and information necessary to achieve academic success. A branch of Child & Youth Services (CYS), School Support Services features School Liaison Officers (SLOs), who help schools, installations and Families work together for student achievement.

Relocation Readiness Program
Relocation Readiness provides information and assistance to military personnel and their families as they transisition from one comm unity to another. Relocation readiness also provieds Sponsorship Training for military and civilian personnel.

Survivor Outreach Services
Survivor Outreach Services (SOS) offers you access to support, information, and services, closest to where you live, when you need it and for as long as you need it. Survivor Outreach Services is part of the Army Casualty Continuum of Care. It’s designed to provide long-term support to surviving Families of Fallen Soldiers. Our goal is to reassure Survivors that they remain valued members of the Army Family.
